THE HUMAN CHIMERA ("MANBEARPIG")
* ARTIFACT: Hunting the Roaring Beast: The Proof of ManBearPig Reels
* TRIGGER: Subjects watch the footage to the end where signs of "tracking" the beast are detailed.
* EFFECT: Subjects will begin investigation of The Human Chimera based on sightings around the cabin. The Human Chimera must been seen during this process for it to work. ManBearPig is trained to track The Whore on sight and will consider The Virgin to be no threat until pushed. The effect works better when the subjects become obsessed with hunting The Human Chimera. Use environmental conditions when necessary.
* WAGER: LAND MANAGEMENT
Remember that we can't let it be seen by outside personnel, so we can avoid another near-exposure. It must be immediately detained following completion of The Ritual. Thankfully, no one will ever believe that idiot Gore about its existence. - A.D.
THE WOLF WRAITH ("MIRANDA CALLEY")
* ARTIFACT: "Calley Family" Scrapbook
* TRIGGER: Subjects read Scrapbook to its final pages which reveal the summoning runes of The Wolf Wraith through either light applied to the glowing ink or recreating the runes with pencils/pens.
* EFFECT: The Wolf Wraith will follow each subject throughout the night and doesn't need much management since The Wolf Wraith can move through walls and floors. She has an uncanny knack for predicting The Whore's movements and seems to have a particular contempt for those designated as The Athlete. The best effect comes from allowing The Wolf Wraith to come to them one by one. Provide extra darkness when needed-The Wolf Wraith is adverse to heavy light.
* WAGER: CRYPTOZOOLOGY DEPARTMENT
A vicious wolf and a wraith! Two monsters for the price of one! Although I fail to understand her obsession with butterfly motifs. Maybe Downstairs thought it'd make her more enigmatic. Well, a butterfly-shaped splatter of blood is oddly poetic. - A.D.
THE TIME EATER ("LANGOLIER")
* ARTIFACT: Model Passenger Plane
* TRIGGER: Subjects must possess plane model throughout the duration. This is used to convince The Time Eater that they are fragments of the past to be devoured.
* EFFECT: The Time Eater will slow down time during portions of its attack, so any slowed recording footage is natural. As appropriate to its name, The Time Eater will decisively follow and devour the Subjects under the pretense that they are fragments of the past. Take care to ensure it will attack in the precise order, as The Time Eater may start attacking indiscriminately. The cabin may need more repairs than usual following its effect.
* WAGER: HISTORICAL ARCHIVES
Time traveling monsters? This is fascinating. Let's hope there aren't anymore of these things. - A.D.
THE KEY GUARDIAN ("PHANTO")
* ARTIFACT: Golden Key
* TRIGGER: Subjects must take the key with the intent to steal it/sell it.
* EFFECT: The Key Guardian is relentless and will immediately pursue any Subject in possession of the Golden Key. However, the Subjects must continue to have the key in their possession or The Key Guardian will fall into a dormant/docile state. The hair dye drug may be used to make The Whore more drawn to the Golden Key. There will be minimal bloodshed as The Key Guardian primarily kills by ramming and driving subjects to cardiac arrest or environmental deaths like falling. In the event of the latter, the Subjects must be pushed to find the Golden Key so the Ritual may continue.
* WAGER: ARTIFACT MANAGEMENT
Has that thing gotten bigger? I could have sworn it was smaller than that. - A.D.
THE SCULPTURE ("NO. 173")
* ARTIFACT: Face Fragment (Piece of The Sculpture that resembles its face)
* TRIGGER: At least one Subject must make eye contact with the Face Fragment for 5-10 minutes straight. Additionally, they may try to steal it for the artificial jewels in its face.
* EFFECT: The Sculpture needs all attention diverted from it in order to move, so the Subjects must constantly be driven to look away from it for the Ritual. It kills primarily by strangling or snapping the neck, so it is recommended to provide The Sculpture plenty of opportunities to trap Subjects. Do not worry about incapacitation as its concrete body is fairly durable to most blows. Manipulation via hair dye drug is effective in this case as well. Use every environmental conditions when necessary.
* WAGER: ARTISANS
Make sure you keep eye contact with it when recapturing, as the fellows in Security/Containment/Protection have instructed. We can't afford to lose more task force members to a gliding statue. Also, does anyone have any idea how exactly it's leaving blood and feces in its cell? - A.D.
THE CHANGELINGS
* ARTIFACT: Warped Crown
* TRIGGER: The Subjects must take the Warped Crown, which will trigger The Changelings when worn. It is strongly recommended that The Whore don the Warped Crown for greater effect.
* EFFECT: The Changelings will pursue The Whore under the impression that she is their "queen" and will immediately kill her upon realizing that she is not. Encouraging sexual activity (up to and including intercourse) is advised as it will further convince The Changelings to believe she is their queen. The Virgin must be tempted with sexual activity to trick The Changelings into believing she is their queen. They will assume the forms of The Scholar, The Athlete, and The Fool to weed them out in order to "save" her. Additional cleanup may be needed as The Changelings have been observed to produce slime to cocoon and entrap the Subjects. Given The Changelings' habit of feeding off human emotional energy, they must be encouraged to feed until the Subject dies. Best results come from any group where there is a third female Subject, so as to convince The Changelings of another fake queen.
* WAGER: CAMOUFLAGE AND INFILTRATION DEPARTMENT
We have undergone searches for any possible "queen", but such a figure does not show up in the collection. She must really get around though if they're lead to believe someone is their queen based on sexual activities alone. - A.D.
We only get one shot at this, people. Let's make it count.
