Two things that I've been wanting to do for quite some time: make a Halloween themed character and draw a bat. SO I DID BOTH! HA!
Allow me to introduce you to my newest character, Creek the bat! He is a bulldog or fishing bat which are completely bitchin critters due to the fact that they hunt like a boss by scraping the water's surface with their claws and skewering fish for noms :> Like seriously, check out this awesomeness in a short video-> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgLHUNBWR58
They're called bulldog bats due to their oversized jowls that give their face a bulldog-like appearance. I think they're adorable (but I've always been weird like that).
Still working on his personality and such, but I'm looking to give him a monster form too. His design was inspired by the changing autumn leaves and would certainly be well camouflaged this time of year.

I thought this species of bat looked extremely dog-like, which is probably why I was do drawn to it. I never heard of the species before, but I had borrowed a book on bats from my roommate the other day and just knew I had to draw one and introduce it to the worrrlldd! :D
I know right!? I just learned about these guys the other day and have been obessingly looking up photos and reading up on them. Now I can help introduce the species to all the interwebs! To my knowledge, no one has made a character of a bulldog bat yet. *first! Haha*
