I had same problem, someone impersonate as a school pal I never had (I left school 35 years ago, how do I remember all the school pals), ok we were talking, one day he asking for money but only a small one, thought that odd but in those days nobody ask for it, I said I don't deal with money, for next few days he kept asking why? and asking for money, in the end I just kept ignored him if he ask for money or anyone else from my school. Sad and angry...

you know i kinda know the feeling. i had something happen to me that some one though i was stealing art because my dragon self (kiru) or eveyone just calls me icey for short now days, try to say i stole his dragon charater because he loved very close to mine. he pretty much try to get all my art i had payed for and ask others to do for me removed because it looked like him. i was very pissed off and i when and try to find this person. sure enough i found him and we talked it out. i even told him how i made my charter up and where i got the idea for colors and everything. he soon said he was sorry and asked to be friends. i didnt hold it against him and i could see how we looked alot alike. but what end up cost me is part of the artwork i had others do was removed and took some time before they would even repost them if the did at all.
that been said i haveing had anymore troblem like this. but i been on the other side of the stick and it hurts. i do ask if you do want to think someone is trying to pull a fast one make sure you get some prove first like your friend did. or you might end up like what happen too me and regrete it later. i am happpy you friend did get it sorted out and i do agree with the message as well.
