A little species I came up with that is a bit like a dragon and a dog meshed into one. I like to call Canebris. Or, the Domesticated Canebris.

It's wild cousin is a mostly nocturnal cave-dwelling animal of sparse, isolated color. They live solitary lives and are quite secretive and vicious when cornered. They feed on smaller lizards, birds, bats and insects, though may attempt larger game or even resort scavenging if necessary.

The domestic breed has a far better temperament. Thanks to selective breeding they come in a far wider variety of colors and patterns. Their demeanor is generally spunky, scrappy, and Attentive though just like every animal this can vary. Due to their solitary and predatory nature they tend not to get along well with other pets (especially smaller ones) and bond to one person. Canebris do well on raw diets, but there is the option of buying dried or canned kibble. To be kind on you neighborhood wildlife, please keep your pet indoors or on a leash. Otherwise you might find your neighbor's dead cat on your front porch in the morning as a little 'gift of love'.
