Aazh's species are relatively advanced as far as technology goes, but still retain a very rugged lifestyle and strong cultural values. One tradition that is still kept is ritual dueling.
Non-Pervians are usually not allowed to duel, but some may be allowed to challenge and be challenged. The accuser has to make or grow a braid of Pervian mane decorated with obscure symbols, bits of metal and minerals or organic matter. The fur is grown by the accuser or by a friend or representative of the accuser. Pervians with rare and unusual fur colors such as blue and green often will be paid large sums in return for the loss of their mane. The mane is a source of pride for all sexes, and those who are willing to give it up for a noble cause are given much respect and mockery of any individual missing mane fur for any reason can be a punishable offense.
The hair color and objects will symbolize the kind of offense or rarely, a token of respect. Yellow and white are often considered killing offenses, while orange or black are minor offenses. No Pervian has ever given a yellow or white braid to a non-Pervian. It is rumored that such individuals are treated as food rather then a sentient being worthy of the respect of a challenge. Red, green, blue and purple braids are tokens of honor usually given to exception individuals regardless of species. Overall, the species is so blustery and aggressive that duels are rare, even in situations that many other races agree to be offensive enough to warrant some form of duel or killing.

well, the species is my creation so go for it! If you want to make one, I can give you more details on them as far a sexes (there are six) and personality if you want. I never actually draw him with all his limbs, they have 8, but the second pair of arms are weak and hide under all the floof in their manes XD
Just an exercise in ridiculousness really. Glad you like them!
