Just remember the old rule (and having worked with the public most of my life, I can swear by this)...
People will move Heaven and Earth to bitch or complain, but few will take the time to compliment. One complement for every 10 gripes means you're probably doing ok ^^ Another issue is that 'furry' seems to be a very picture or photo-centric fandom. I used to write ages ago and could not pay anyone to read my stuff :p
