Redwood “Tree” Mutt
Breed- Dog; Geberian Shepsky (German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix. )
Notes:
Although he may seem like he’s not all there, he still has a sense of what is real, and actually thinks very logically.
Name Origin-
The way he got his name wasn't exactly in kindness. He would often sneak out of his home in a redwood tree's log and eat whatever he could find - usually it was either a human’s pet’s food or meat they left in a smoke house thinking it was safe there. When victims of the burglaries talked about him, they’d call him “That redwood tree mutt”. Redwood actually took a liking to the name, eventually believing that his first name was Redwood, “Tree” was an affectionate pet name, and Mutt was not an insult but his last name.
Behavior-
Redwood is often found in his hollowed out tree.
He tends to be very childish to the point of being obnoxious. He doesn't mean to be, but he is.
He loves puzzles and exploring, which explains his love of tales of adventure.
Redwood considers everyone a friend… unless you make fun of Peter or hurt his friends.
About Peter-
Redwood has schizophrenia that is rumored to actually have been caused by a human’s attempt to put him down after a raid gone wrong. He often talks to the bird skull on his collar that he affectionately calls Peter.
No one is really sure where he got Peter or why a little pigeon skull made such an imprint on him. When asked where he found Peter, he’ll say “Peter and I have been friends for years!” and then will continue to babble uselessly about how he and Peter are best friends.
He won’t do anything or listen to anyone unless “Peter” says so.
If you tell Redwood that “Peter” isn't alive or real, he will simply shake his head at first and laugh at you, saying how silly and crazy you sound.
If you persist, he tends to lose what little bit of sanity he has, and lashes out at you, telling you to “take it back”.
He tends to say that he is the sane one between him and Peter; he claims Peter has the brains, but he also a nasty sadistic streak.
Redwood isn't known to be violent unless Peter tells him to be, someone who he was told to listen to by Peter is in trouble, or someone says Peter isn't real.
Oh look a reference with a bit of story. I needed a distraction, and this made for a good one.
