Man, that would be really useful! I so wish that you could use the dropship for artillery support, since dropships should have weaponry or they're defenseless. Say your ambushed by a squad of elite mutons and your guys can't get a good shot, or say your up against a sectopod and your taking a lot of damage and missing a lot of fire. Those moments would be really useful for something like this!
