My new nose mold and cast for canines. The nose is slighter bigger than what looks normal on my bases to compensate for the fur when it's added.
Nose is cast in Dragon Skin 10 Medium with black Silc Pig. Mold is UC30.

I get mine from a local art store in Richmond. The brand I buy is from Smooth-On (http://www.smooth-on.com/) but they're shipping is really bad because the stuff weighs so much, so if you can find a place that sells it locally that would be better. I just prefer Smooth-On products because they're all 1:1 ratio mixing. You might be able to find something of the like at a Tap Plastics, but their prices tend to be REALLY BAD, so be careful with that and make sure you're not overpaying.
I sculpt in plastaline oil clay (it doesn't dry out so I can leave it and not be scared it will crumble), then I build a wall around the sculpt and pour Ultracal 30 plaster over it and let it dry for a little over an hour, maybe more. Then scrape the clay out (you can also melt it with a hair dryer) and you have a nice mold! You'll probably want to run some water in it to clean it out, then it's ready for use. You don't NEED to clean it though, it doesn't matter too much. Most people only clean it when they're not using oil based clay (like the stuff they use in the show Face-Off, I can't remember what that clay is called though ><")
