That trailer was nothing but a tech demo. FFVIII had the same thing for the PS2 before.

It was more a demonstration of their graphics engine capabilities and the fan community filling in the blanks on their own. So basically the community lied to itself.

omg i love it. The graphics are great, story is fantastic & game play is wonderful. If you wanna rush through for storyline you can have it beat in less then 20 hours, but theres tons of side missions to earn you extra items and side stories that draw the game out for a long while.
Totaly worth it. Go buy it, don't hack, its not gey like FFX-2. They diserve the cash on this one lol.

Again, FFX-2 get's so much bad wrap it's not even funny anymore.

That's because all FFX-2 needed to be a fully americanized RPG was for the girls to create magic by summoning a brass pole and rub their tits around it.

lol i'm sorry Ger, i hear alot of people do, but my feelings towards it is very similar as to what Sixclaws had to say lol. The story was ok, but battle system was horrible and damn, all those skimpy trampy outfits. Now i know, i draw women in skimpy outfits (or nothing at all) all the time, but i had more respect for Yuna. A high summoner shouldn't be dressin' like a whore lol. But you are totaly entitled to like it X3 Its just nothing i'd spend money on lol. OK, sorry for the rant.

I actually thought the battle system was fantastic, and I turned off the repetitive dressup sequences.

You may not know it but FFX-2's battle system is the best battle system in the series and is actually a huge upgrade to the battle system that's what the series is known for, the job system.

Meh, thats a matter of opinion. I personally was not impressed and enjoyed FFIII's job system better and of course, Final Fantasy Tactics (the orig and new release) still has one of the best versions of the job system imo.

um. alone, no.. but PSP is a nice system.
My philosophy is never buy any system for any one game, unless you have the money to do it at your leisure

It's really sad about what happens in the story of how he got his arm gun... And his friend, and everything. But still! I'd have to agree, Barrett is pretty muscular and bear-ish and such. But I dunno, he isn't my favorite character. I think he'd be somewhere in between my favorites and my not-so-favorite, although the only not-so-favorite is Cait Sith, mostly because he doesn't have as much of a backstory to them.

It's like, I liked Barret's Mr T-lookin ass from the start. Him, Cloud and Red were my original team the first time through, everybody else was neglected

Him, Marlene and Dyne, the whole story around those three, and his connection to Tifa and Cloud, he came off as that sort of father figure. His role as head of AVALANCHE definitely shows how he naturally takes people under his wing.

And Catastrophe was just fuckin awesome lol
