Rebecka has a bit of a different relationship with water than one may suspect. At a very young age, she accidentally fell into a lake and nearly drowned. The experience left her with not just an early appreciation for life and those she spends it with, but also what seems to be a rather morbid curiosity with water as it's necessary for all life, but was so very close to taking her's away.
