I understand that entirely. I myself live with a black cat and I swear this really happened. It was late, and I was about to go to sleep, so I look around my room, it's empty, I look in the hallway and again, it's empty. So I close the door, look down at the floor, and there he was looking up at me and meowing. So either that cat can teleport, or he's some kind of friggin' ninja, or something.
