Keranidae is my own race.. which your avatar looks a little alike btw. Not as the sergal reffs i see on your page. [if it should be, the snout is totally wrong ^^"]

The species of my avatar is the totally unoriginal sergal. I have different artists doing different styles of my sergal because I don't know what I like yet. However, your Keranidae race interests me. If I knew how, I bet they would be fun to draw.

But I have to say I am quite into detail of anatomy and I am very strict with how something should be drawn.. no matter what style you have you should be able to see which race it is and that what is shown at your avatar has nothing to do with a Sergal besides the ears and fluff. That is not a subjective view but an objective one because I know that race far too well, especially because people tend to piss me off by mistaken my Keranids with Sergals.

For a how to draw... I need to draw a reff sheet for them... and it will cost me my last nerve and a LOT of time to do so because it will be HUGE. Its a Race that is defined by so many things that the shape it self is something that can come in many forms if you understand how they work

I can see where you're coming from with your objective views. Might just have to consider my icon as a hybrid or something. Oh and I had a conversation with another artist saying that they also get mad when their species gets called a Sergal. Almost like the Sergal species is bridging a gap between other people's species and confusing the heck out of a lot of peeps.

Arg, a complicated race, gonna try to digest that. Sounds like you want it spot on perfect in an objective view. I can understand that it would be frustrating to have someone drop the ball drawing a species that you put so much effort into.

Btw. there are only 2 pure blooded Keranids out there. Skaith an me. Everything else are "infected" or Hybrids. I don't give other people the permission to use Pure blooded. Especially not after seeing what they have made out of the Sergals... I really loved those creatures before they became so popular.
