Yes. You're right understand. In first, Paper love Tia but isn't love Celestia. Paper love disguise of Celestia.
But now. Paper love Celestia too. But she did not want Celestia to suffer because of the gossip and wanted to maintain her honor and dignity. So she refuse to love Celestia and refuse Celestia to love her. She love Celestia and want to make her happy. even she can't be Celestia's lover. She think herself don't worthy.

But for me, Love is not about worthiness nor what position their in, its the voice within you heart that tells you wether you love her or not. I would not care about if the person I were to love was a goddess, princess, noble or peasent, let gossip and rumors spread. None should deny the voice within their hearts called love.

I'm not disagree. But I'm not full agree too. This world isn't fiction. It have no miracle. It does have happy ending in the last for rough love.
