Part of a bunch of Suikoden sprites that are long overdue for my dear friend
.
This is Riou from Suikoden II, I believe. Unfamiliar with the series- and it's been such a long time since I worked on there that hopefully I'm not screwing up the names.
This sprite wasn't too bad. A little hard to match some of the colors..and not a big fan of the orange in the face..but I make do with what I have!
666 beads.
WIP can be seen here.
Original sprite can be found here. Credit goes to Dazz for the rip.

Yay Suikoden II!
I had no idea what to name the hero, so I just named him Dude. That made it more amusing when people started calling him Lord Dude. It amused me so much that I made that my first internet alias. :)
Ah, the memories. ^_^
Riou isn't a name that's used in the game. There is no default name for the hero. But Riou was used in official non-game sources in Japan, so that's the name people tend to use for him.

I still have my Lord Dude account on GameFAQs. It doesn't get used much anymore, but it is 13 years old.
From what I understand, in official-official sources (i.e. Konami), Riou is only referred to as the Hero of Suikoden II. I think the name originally came from the officially licensed Suikoden II manga, because they needed something to call the hero. Same with the hero of the first Suikoden game. So it's not truly official, because Konami themselves don't use it, but it's sort of a de facto name because Konami never gave him one.
