Colored-sketch commission for 
Dark_Stallion of his character Dakota. I really need to come up with a different term for these, the fact that it's a sketch and then I color it doesn't necessarily mean "colored sketch" is the best name for it X3 Maybe I'll start calling them "sketchy paints" or something.
I have to admit - some of you are going to find this shameful - that while I think I know the breed of the handsome Dakota (blue roan appaloosa?) I do not know what kind of car this is. I'm sure someone will tell me so I can put it in the keywords, lol (I know it's a Chevrolet because I can read that on the ref photo X3). I actually traced the rough outline of the car when I did the sketch, which is why the proportions look unusually accurate by my vehicle-drawing standards :P I know, I'm a cheater. Sure turned out better though ;3

Looks like a late 60's (67-70?) Chevelle. Dad had the previous generation. It wasn't a cool car the way I remember it, just lots of rust and a muffler that dragged on the driveway whenever we got home. That's how I could tell we were home because I was too small to see out the window!

Very good pic, love the body of bothe the car and the horse, well done. ^w^
Only thing that seems a bit off is his face, his muzzle look a lot shorter than it should be (might just be the foreshortening) and his eyes have a bit of a blank look to them. Other than that, it looks great.
