The Rise of Dark Loreit
By Generationslayer
“This is a very bad idea!!” A female voice with a hint of Scottish accent erupted through the outdoor stone hall way. A large green reptile walked down through the halls. It was an unusual reptile at that. One with the four legged body of a dragon and an upper anthropomorphic female body resembling that of a dragon as well. Its black mane was somewhat of a mess and white eyes were now tainted yellow. Her once elegant tattoos had grown, engulfing what was once green and white body with inky blackness. This creature was named Loreit, the dragontaur warrior of King Daniels army.
Today however, this once fierce creature who would battle deadly creatures and hoards of goblins and trolls was now terrified of something. She was afraid of herself and was in desperate need of help.
“You are not listening to me!” she snarled as a human prisoner guard, barely tall enough to reach her waist, led her down the hall. “Once a year the magic in the air becomes contaminated and turns in to dark essence. My tattoo's adsorb that magic against my will and when its complete I become...something else...” The great beast explained with her tail swishing in fury and her arms across her bosom.
“This is why you are here dragontaur, Mist Mountain Prison. This is where Lord Daniel keeps his most dangerous and vile prisoners.” The guard said as they approached a door with multiple deadbolts locking it in place. “Simple chains and cell doors won't hold me from this curse. I need magic and seals to keep me in.” Replied Loreit while the guard looked through his enormous amount of keys before placing the correct one in to the door. “Have a little faith in our decision...” With the turn of the key, the door began to make a heavy clanking noise of gears turning, pulling the massive metal deadbolts moved out of place.
The heavy door opened with creak and a bell rang out, letting the people inside know the door was opening. Inside was a massive multiple layer prison with three levels of dozens of cells. Guards patrolled each level, each fully armed to the teeth with weapons and armor as if a jail break could happen any minute. The two walked down the stairs to the bottom floor. Prisoners cried out and hollered as she passed by, reaching out as if they could grab her and down pouring small rocks from the upper levels. “Seems that many of them don't like you...” A rock struck the dragontaur in the side of the head as the guard spoke.
“Agh...” She moaned in pain as she rubbed the side of her temple where the rock hit. “I use to work with many of them...” she growled under her breath. As they continued to walk, Loreit’s pointy ears flickered when she heard what sounded like a rattle. When turned to face the noise, a familiar face could be seen in the darkness of the cell.
“Eioso....” The taur growled before walking up to the prisoner’s cage. Inside was a large snake like creature with a human like torso and arms. The creature inside was called a naga. This one in particular had a bronze coloring and a rattle like a rattle snake on the end of its tail. Its left eye scared shut and most of its body littered with scared slash marks.
“Been a long time captain...you look god awful” the snake man said with a hiss like laugh.
“I'm glad to see you here. I wouldn't like it anywhere else.” she crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes before continuing. “Even back when I was with the Beastlings I never accepted your actions, you twisted snake.”
“Is that so captain...or should I call you traitor?” The snake stroked its chin for a moment while it thought before replying.
“Nah, I think captain hits where the heart is at. If I remember though, we sure go on a lot of raiding missions. I sure do love those nights we would stuff our self with the local hero's and go drinking at the tavern before we burned the town to th...” He was quickly interrupted when the dragontaur punched the a cell bar so hard that it caused the metal to bend. “You burned the towns you bastard, not me! You made them suffer worse than I ever could!”
“You never stopped me...” the snake countered before yawning. “Don't worry though; I kept our time honored tradition going. You'll be happy to know that after you left raids had been very successful under my command. Ate a lot of delouses humans and burned a lot of homes. I'm sure you would have been so proud!” Loreit’s escort approached her and grabbed her arm.
“Come on ya reptile, we need to get you locked up or the grave danger you keep speaking of will run lose.” With a snort, the dragontaur walked away. She looked back to see a hand waving to her from the bars. “We'll be sure to catch up real soon captain for old time sake.” He cackled, sending his laughter echoing through the halls.
The sun was about to set on the land, casting shadows in Loreit’s cell through a window. The black tattoos had nearly spread across her whole body leaving her white under belly and a few green splotches on her face still untouched but not for very long. Cuffs were placed around her scaly wrist, both chained to each other and to a pulley mechanism. The guards turned the pulley causing the large being to be hosted in to air by her wrist till the hind legs just barely touched the floor. Shackles were placed both on her forelegs and hind legs and the tail was chained to the wall. “How’s that spell coming old man?” A guard asked as he and several others finished the final preparations of imprisoning the dragontaur.
“It’s almost done...” he says as he drew blue markings around the cell wall. “This magic will put her in a deep sleep so she doesn't become restless.” He explained. “Good...”
The guard turned to look at Loreit once more. “Do you need anything? Once we lock this cell we aren't opening it again till the Dark season is over.” Loreit had her head lowered with her hair shielding her face.
“There is one thing you should know...when I change and if I escape...I'm sorry...” The guard was puzzled by this response.
“Sorry for what?” She slowly raised her head and looked at them with her yellow glowing eyes and black face.
“I'm sorry because you will be the first ones I go after...” The men paused for a moment. It was hard to tell if she meant it as a warning or a threat by the tone of voice.
“Aaaaand done...” The wizard announced, breaking the silence. The guard cleared his voice. “Alright, once this cell is locked, no one will open it understand?” They all agreed as they moved out of the cell. Once the men had left and the cell door closed, the wizard placed a small blue stone in front of the door to activate the magic. The markings on the wall glowed as the spell took effect, filling the room with a deep blue haze. Loreit bobbed her head as she slowly drifted to sleep. She muttered the words ‘thank you’ before passing out. As the guards moved back in to their position, Eioso took notice of the guards leaving from his former captain.
“Well boys...” he says leaning against one of his cell wall. “How about we change our plans?” He says with a wicked smile. “Let’s bust out tonight to go see an old friend...and to deliver a heart to our Lord.”
***********************************************************************************
The night came down on the land and the only light source available in the prison was that of a candle flames and torches. Still the guards remained ever so vigilant. A loud bang interrupted the train of thought of one guard.
“I'm going crazy here! Let me out!” The Eioso screamed as he banged his tail against the bars. “Let me out, let me out, let me out!” He repeats over and over.
“Hey knock it off!” The nearby guard shouted as he runs up to the cage.
“Let me out, let me out, let me out!” The naga merely repeats.
“I said knock it off!” The guard said running up to the cell door, ready to deal some punishment. The naga quickly shoots his tail out and wraps around the guards waist.
“And I said to let me out...” He says with a serous dark tone. Before the man could react, the snake man pulled hard and pulled the man through the thin spaced bars. So thin that the man couldn't fit through by normal means. The snake put so much force in his pull though the man slipped in with the added sound of bones and flesh cracking. Once he had the dead guard inside, he quickly took the keys and unlocks his door.
“One of the prisoners escaped!” A guard shoots.
“Seems I won't enjoy this for too long...” He says as he exits his cell and threw the key away. With great speed he slithered forward and grabbed the nearest guard and bit him in the shoulder with his large venom’s teeth, injecting lethal poison in to the poor man’s body. Several arrows struck near the killer snake. Looking up to see where the arrows came from he saw several guard on the next floor cat walks. In a blur of speed, he slithered up the wall to the next floor to confront his attackers.
The first archer he grabbed he easily threw him over the ledge. The other guard reacted quickly, pulling out his sword in defense. He swung it aimlessly, attempting to strike the snake. The monster was too fast though, dodging the sword attacks with ease and before the guard knew it the naga had his hands wrapped around his face and with a twist, his neck made a sickening snap! The naga continued to fight on as more and more guards from the other levels converged on him until he was fully surrounded. The snake threw his hands up in the air in surrender.
“Alright...looks like you got me...guess I should go back to my cell and...” He was interrupted just as a loud bell rang out in the prison. The guards looked around in panic to find the cause of it. To their horror a small gremlin pulled the switch that unlocked all the cell doors. When the naga escaped he threw the key in to another cell where the gremlin was imprisoned, making Eioso a distraction. “Oh never mind!” the snake laughed as every inmate leaped out of there cell, attacking every guard in sight. It was total chaos as cries of battle and metal clanged together. As the prison riot raged, the naga grabbed a guard. “You’re coming with me...” He says as he dragged the guard away in his long tail.
He slithered away from the fight and up to the cell where Loreit was held in. The door was open from the gremlin escape attempt but the stone that held the spell in place was still there. Unknown to what its purpose was, the naga knocked the stone out of the way and the blue markings and mist faded away as he entered the cell. Loreit was still hanging from the chains but she was different. Her body was fully black like the night and she now had bone like white markings around her body and her hair was also a sickly green color.
“I see, they must have dressed you up to hide you from among the other inmates...” The naga said as he slithered up to her with the guard in tow. Her head was still drooped and her green hair covered her face. “I don't know why they put you in this cell. Maybe to have you rot away like the rest of us. That won't be happening though since I'm here to take your heart to bring back to the Beast Lords. Before you say anything however, I brought a present!” He held the struggling guard up to the chained monsters snout. “I thought you could eat a human, for old time sake...”
The dragontaur’s head slowly moved forward and sniffed the human. “Now I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking 'I'll just put him in my other belly so he's not harmed.' Doesn't matter to me really. Gonna cut you open any ways. So let’s...” Before he could say anymore, Loreit opened her jaw wide. Her mouth looked like it had melted. Yellow saliva dripped from her exposed teeth before she munched down on the hapless human.
The naga quickly released him before he too was eaten. The taur gobbled the poor guard up quickly, her throat expanding out to form around the devoured victim. With several snaps and slurps and gulps, the man made his way down to Loreit’s upper stomach, expanding out wards in a sphere like shape.
“Good...essence...” Loreit whispered with a hiss. The snake was frozen for a moment, witnessing what seemed to be downright strange and creepy. He cleared his throat and responded,
“That was easy...” He tossed the sword from hand to hand as he drew closer to her, careful not to end up in her grasp. “Let’s getting to the slicing and dicing shall we?” He presses the sword against her chest. Loreit’s hand shot forward and grabbed the snake’s throat. “What the hell!?” he shouted in surprise. She was chained up! She shouldn't be able to move. He looked at the hand cuff that was supposed to bind her hands. It was still fully enclosed, meaning she somehow slipped out. He looked at the other hand to see it slowly melt through the cuffs. All of her limbs were pushing through the metal cuffs. “What is going on!?” He screamed with gasping breathe. The black monster slipped through the chains and pushed its massive body against the snakes when it landed on the ground. She sniffed the snake and growled
“Bad essence...” Her mouth parted and in took the snakes head. The naga fought back as he screamed, pushing against her body. In what seemed like mere seconds, the dragon taur ingested nearly half the naga despite how much he fought back. Her lower belly between her leg quickly expanded as she ingested the naga. After a few moments and a quick slurp and gulp, she had ingested the criminal snake, never to see the light of day again.
Loreit licked her lips and patted her belly. A strange oranges jack-o-lantern smile appeared on her belly while two orange frowns of the same nature appeared on the sides of her lower stomach. She lifted her head and cackled madly, her laugh terrifying, as if she was laughing in reverse. She suddenly stopped laughing and rubbed her head. Her transformation was complete but her mind still not stable. “Need....more...” she moaned as she walked outside her cell, no longer the same as she went in.
Her large belly swayed under her as she walked towards the battle. To a normal person, it was a sight of pure chaos and war, but to the now dark being, all she saw through her yellow glowing eyes was victims to her new power. A guard ran past her, barely noticing her until a strange orange fog encompassed around him and lifted him in the air. He then was sent hurdling towards the dragontaur upper stomachs mouth, which had opened real wide and become a real mouth. The man screamed just before he was crammed in to the belly mouth. The face slammed its mouth shut and seemed to have a happy expression on as it locked the being in and returned to its normal form of a smiley face marking.
As she headed deeper in to battle, she grabbed each and every being in her path, devouring them from regular oral ingestion, to using her stomach mouths, to even merely pressing them against her body and adsorbing them in. No side was safe from her rampage and both the prisoners and guards took notice of this, but it was too late to save them.
With a final act, Loreit rubbed her hands together and black orbs peeled off her body. The battlers stopped there fighting and watched as dozens of these dark orbs floated in the air, as more and more of these orbs appeared, less and less of Loreit remained until only a skeleton and blood network of her body was left in plain view. She then quickly raised her bony arms up and let out a horrific scream. The black orbs came down, attaching to everyone in the fascinate. They quickly grew and engulfed the beings inside, both guard and prisoner alike. She pressed her bony hands together and the orbs returned to her, rebuilding her body as they did back to its demonic self.
Despite having devoured everyone in the prison, Loreit's form remained the same. She still had the same swollen bellies as when she ate the man and the snake even though she had devoured a great amount of people. Inside her however were around a hundred souls still alive with in her body. She paused for a moment as a smile curled on her lips and then let out a huge belch that rattled the chamber. “Ah it’s so good to be back! How I missed this!” She cried out in joy, her mind now function...somewhat properly. She grabbed her head and twisted it a full three sixty with a sickening snapping sound of bones.
“Now that I have got all that serious mumbo jumbo bullshit out of the way, I can have some fun!” she cheered as she walked up to the gates door. She paused for a moment and looked back at the jail. “This isn't right...” She turns around to face the hall before taking in a deep breath. She thrust her head forward and spewed black flames all over the room like flame thrower, lighting everything on fire. After a few passes she closed her mouth and pounded her chest and spat out a puff of smoke. “There we go, can't have full on carnage without burning down a building or two.” She chucked as she walked away out in to the world.
A few hours later, the dark Loreit stood on top of a hill, staring out in to the world. In the distance she could see fire spewing out of the prison as it burned to the ground. Below the cliff was a village, unknown to the terror above them. She raised her hands up to sky and shouted. “I have returned! Rejoice for your terror will fuel my power!” She cried out with another wicked laugh. Her body vanished in to a large black puff of smog before descending upon the unsuspecting village below to begin to raise hell once again.

One thing for certain is this:
When Loreit "wakes" up, she going to have a HUGE bounty on her head, the Humans would want her dead for good, even her allies would want her dead too, and the beastlings would have the chance to invade the human kingdom during the chaos.....
I think I prefer the older version of Halloween Loreit then the new one....
Anyway, I better prepare when she comes around.
*Looking back to my mercenaries, who are armed to the teeth of random firearms.*
ALRIGHT BOYS! Remember we are facing a demonic dragontuar, so when you see her.... BLAST HER TO F***ING BITS!!! YOU GOT THAT!?!
Mercenaries: SIR YES SIR!!!

What are you guys talking about? Who says I hate Loreit? IN fact, I would actually like to meet her in the flesh.... provided that I had a couple of armed guards with me and a barbed-wire armor as well.
I also would like to meet her Halloween side as well. I like to see how will she scared my pants, boots, socks, and my underwear.
I didn't mean to act like a jerk or a troll. The new version of Halloween Loreit reminds me of the new Hollywood "horror" movies.
Again, I didn't mean to be jerk or a as*hole.

For the soldiers and such, that's for PROTECTION!!! Demon Halloween Loreit DESTORIED AN ENTIRE PRISON THAT'S SUPPOSED TO HOLD THE MOST DANGEROUS CRIMINALS!!! How can not everyone Not freak out!?!
Heck!!! We'll probably even be lucky to lay a scratch on her, since Demon Halloween Loreit's new found dark powers!!! It's like fighting a Hellknight in Doom 3 on the hardest mode!!!

My mercenaries are just normal soldiers that have normal weapons, nothing special about them. Another thing too is that I'll probably lose 3/4s of my buddies for trying to knock her out!

Dang, some of that was actually rather creepy. I really like this iteration of Dark Loreit myself. darker without really being evil and such. Far greater power, no inhibitions, interested in raising hell, and in the end, no good people get hurt (at least, I'm pretty sure on that one). Sure, there may be some property damage and lost time when all's said and done, but that's just a temporary inconvenience.
