Had a electrical snafu little while ago fried the wiring in my dash and had to leave my car at work overnight. hectic few minutes till my boss told me it could be parked inside and that's how I know about the three miles.

new wiring under hood, in dash, bulkhead connector, heater core, ignition switch, high beam switch, alternator, voltage regulator, ballast resistor, and a partridge in a pear tree. F.Y.I. it's still not right but it runs.

still no gauges now no fan and the new alternator isn't charging the battery also dead b.t.w. but if you like old cars you have to take the good with the bad.

Lol yep. In fact these, steam powered cars, and gas powered cars all shared the roads at one point. Actually these were preferred for a short period because they were really quiet and produced no exhaust. They were also very simple to use and reliable compared to steam and gas cars. However their range was very short and there was no interest in investing in electric infrastructure for cars at the time. I think electric cars and steam cars met their demise around the same time.
