Here's a close-up shot of the tip I made for the most recent tail commission I completed. It's made of leather, with more leather on the inside to give it a nice depth and strength. This one I painted with acrylic paint because the commissioner wanted gold. It's sewn together with waxed linen thread.
It attaches on to the tip of the tail with three big lobster clasps, which means it's removable. Makes for easy swapping out if you want different looks, or (somewhat pragmatically on my part) for very simple replacement in case it gets damaged.
These will be a standard add-on option available on tail commissions from me. I haven't completely settled on a price, though, so I'll update my tail commission guide when I do.
