Sorry, you're in Poke-France, the rest of the game will be like this.

The center city (Lumiouse City) is the dead giveaway. Not just because of the eifel-tower-like thing, but because Paris is also called "The City of Light".

Kalos is based on France, but I guess the translators took it too far and made some characters emit French remarks... just like they did with referencing memes in these games.
