The MGSC Mars Dawn is a formerly mothballed EarthForce Shenandoah Class Battleship that was purchased by the Independent Mars Provisional Government after the end of the Earth Civil War for use by MarsGuard. As a former member of the Shenandoah Class, she was known as the EAS Summers and she served during the Earth-Minbari War. After being procured for MarsGuard, the newly christened Mars Dawn had a systems upgrade, which replaced her main heavy turrets as well as replacing the engine block.
