I hate to say this, as it shows how much I'm addicted to Brian Jacques' work, but this little guy reminds me of Veil from Outcast Of Redwall, which happens to be one of my favorite books out of the entire Redwall collection.

It's a great book series! There's about 22 books in the entire series, but they all take place in different times and places, so you rarely have the same characters from book to book (though there are a few exceptions). I have all of them, and they have really helped me through some rough times in my life, as they've helped me to escape for a bit.

Maybe! Is this Veil a ferret as well? The Veil in Outcast Of Redwall was a ferret who was raised by good mice, and, even though he did do a lot of bad deeds, his final act was to save his friends. So, in the end, he did die a good person.

BUT THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM

lol They're pretty fast and smooth reads, so it's not that bad. And except for a handful of them, they can be read in generally any order, since there's not a lot of continuation between each book. It's more of "this book looks at this person's life at this time, while this book looks at this other warrior's life at a WAY later date", while all being in the same universe.
