Lucky you. It's starting to warm up here. 60 degrees already today, it was disgusting. Hail will always remind me of the once in a blue moon time that Illinois had a tornado warning right near where I was at the time. I remember walking home from work about 6:00 in the afternoon, walking with my back to a beautiful setting sun which was usual back then. Then the sky got gray, and then dark black, this was a couple of minutes into my walk. Having never been in a tornado before I didn't know this was a bad thing, so I kept walking, and then there was a sudden HEAVY down pour of rain, so much so that I had to put my hood on, which I never do, even in the rain. Then it go insanely windy. I could hear the warning air horn sirens going off, but thought it was just a test at the time (yeah I'm a freaking idiot) so I kept walking. Then I started getting hit with hail, nothing like anything I ever saw before they were almost literally as big as golf balls, it was extremely painful. That's about it. I never saw the tornado it missed us by a couple miles, but I'll always remember that day...it was pretty cool.
