"And it was really, really hungry."
After drawing various coonsnake pictures last week, it occurred to me that being swallowed by a random raccoon (snakey or otherwise) is a pretty embarrassing way for a dragon to die. Naturally, the other dragons in the afterlife are never going to let him hear the end of this.
(Of course, the White has something to hide too. But he's smart enough to not mention the embarrassing details of his demise.) 83

In one episode it was an alternate future and the dog Brian was dead and in heaven talking with various famous people who shot themselves. When they asked him how he died he looked embarrassed as he told them he got in the garbage and ate some chocolate.
This also reminds me of an episode of Batman aswell when the villians were talking about how they almost got him and Killercroc said, "I threw a rock at him." a long awkward silence followed and he said, "It was a big rock...."

Don't get me wrong, it was a great moment, and one of my favorite episodes. (Slightly) Less punching, more cerebral. It was just a Fridge Logic moment for me. "...wait, really? That was all you could come up with?" Still a great moment. I don't even remember if either Dini or Timm were one of the writers of that episode, but them signing on to do DC comics on television is one of the greatest things of the 90s and 2000s, IMO.
It's more properly a "dragon afterlife", but the title was easier to understand this way. Heck, if you go by the 2nd edition D&D cosmology, they couldn't even be in the same Hell with each other. Maybe there's a dragon-specific afterlife or two in D&D now, it wouldn't surprise me.
I've often wondered if some preds might be haunted by the ghosts of their prey, but it never occurred to me to wonder what it's like for them if they pass on to the afterlife.
Then again, if this is a dragon afterlife, that white should be hoping that a certain gold dragon has a very long life, because when he finally shows up there, the white's real story will be told.
