I was just trying to get a female zigzagoon for breedings, and suddenly I get a Shiny Fletchling! Normally blue underbelly, but this one has yellow!

Well there is a rumor going around that Gamefreak made shinies slightly easier to get in X/Y, so I dunno. But still, OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!

side note male and female have different colors as well did it sparkle when you saw it?

Yeah, when I found it there were a lot of sparkles. Also in X/Y they let you know if you found a shiny version of a Pokemon in the Pokedex.

Congrats! My shiny for X/Y is Budew, but unfortunately it's male with natural cure for it's ability.

Nice, my first ever caught shiny was a barboach and first ever hatched shiny was a Male Nidoran
