you know how i think you could fix that lack of definition in the upper righthand pic? add minimal amounts of black. you're like me, you use it sparingly depending on the style. but I think some mmmmad thin near-black/black lines would make it look good. not every single detail would need it, but just the places that stand out until you get a "yes" factor :)
