Day 8 is Osprey. There's a bunch of these trying to have their nesting sites rehabilitated on the Jersey Shore. They are awesome to watch and if you ever get the chance, it's basically bucket list to see one catch a fish.

I love these guys, there's a nest of them on a pole nest box on the way to my cottage and I get to see the little bebe burds in the spring when we go up to open. Probably one of the best places to see an osprey catch a fish too, since the road is literally in between two lakes (although I haven't had the pleasure to see them hunt).
Aah, I love this, especially the shapes in the feet! I managed to spot one of these hanging out in a dead tree in Rocky Mountain National Park a few months ago. Being from Missouri, I never thought I stood a chance at seeing one, so it was a real treat.
