Here's the first laser-cut version of this respirator mask concept I'm trying out. It fits much better than the first one I made, actually extending down enough to cover the chin. Next I get to adjust the placement of the points where the straps attach.
I gave it stitched whiskers made of leather lace. I have some neon green para cord lying around, and I thought it might be fun to use that instead of the black for the whiskers, but the holes weren't quite big enough to accommodate it. Maybe on the next iteration.
Stained silver and sealed with a matte leather finish. I tried a baseball stitch with this one, which lets the two sides of the mask hings against each other a bit more. Which is OK.
I really need to get some friends together and take photos of things. I have a few masks now that need shots of them being worn.

I think I could do the basic shape of it reasonably. I'd have to put some thought into how to conceal the seam, if that was what was desired. (If it was fine to have stitching down the center, I'd probably go for similar stitching to the previous mask of this type I posted, as it holds the mask in shape better.) I'm not currently set up to be able to do the attached hose and stuff, though I could probably do the built-up part where the hose attaches without a problem.
