SCAVENGERS 01-02
This page took four hours this time. If I didn't have the TV going in the background and mucking on Tapestries at the same time, I could have gotten it done faster I think. It's getting easier.
The greys kinda went bluish even though I scanned this in as a greyscale image. Interesting. I'll have to try scanning these in color to see if I can get the warm grey look instead.
Anyways, I seem to have hit a chord with people with just the sample page, so here- have another. :)

If you want control over the warmth of the greys, you could alternatively scan in greyscale, then switch to RGB mode and lower the blue/green levels. (I'd also suggest adjusting the levels so the "black" is more black, but that's just my opinion.)
Looking interesting so far.

Can't...stop...must..fave..art...
Like I said earlier, I can't wait until you get the strip up and going. The art is awesome as usual, but like
ratsmith said, I really like the George Lucas look and feel to the strip. You know, the whole 'used and comfortable' style of tech, as opposed to 'bright and shiny'. Nothing fancy, just something that'll get the job done. That's one of the things that made the Millennium Falcon such a hit with fans.
Great stuff, and worth more faves than I could give it. :)

Everything in my 'universe' is used. No worries there. None of the ships in my story will be trailer queens.
Well, maybe a few will be- not everyone drives pickup trucks in the real world. There are a few sports cars and such. I imagine passenger liners would be shiny for product image purposes.

Unless said passenger liners were old. You know, a guy/gal buys it for cheap to either convert it or fix it up a little and use it for transporting passengers. Sort've as a cheaper alternative to the high-priced 'luxury' models for the people who still want to travel in style, but without all the cost.
Nice comic. One small thing: the lettering is much darker than the darkest ink lines. Doesn't blend in well with the linework. Either the letters need to be changed to the darkest grey in the linework, or the levels on the linework should be changed(preferred, and is what I do). In Photoshop, this would be accomplished by opening the Levels dialog(ctrl+L) and using the dark eyedropper to select what should be black. In other programs, I guess playing with contrast would do it. Again, it's just a small detail.
Also, that symbol on their sleeves looks remarkably similar to the Federation logo from Star Trek.
Anyway, great art! I look forward to seeing the website whenever it launches.
