I've done a saltwater tank before but way smaller and I found out how hard it was. The 55 is going to be a reef tank with at least a tang and another sump tank running with it with some cleaning fish.

But yeah I laughed so hard when I saw the picture with my face be hide the tank.

I visited the Monterrey Bay aquarium wow is that one hell of a place! floor to ceiling tank, all around you!, dim the light and they turn on the aerator. dude, what a zone out that is.

Will I was at Dragon con we went to the aquarium there and they had one tank you could watch from one room that was a 50' tall wall (like in the movie Deep Blue Sea) with like 4-5 full size Whale Sharks and manta rays!

Could't get a good picture due to the "no flash" rules.

sweet! I think that's a standard rule at most aquariums. need a good SLR with a fast lens, and high ISO speed.

I have a 20gal fresh water but I have such a hard time keeping fish alive. Probably because I have to get my fish from fraking petsmart.

Petsmart is the worst place to go. I have a great local pet shop I get mine from. How often do you do your water changes?

I do about 25% weekly and 50% every two months
I also have it stocked with lots of live plants and I have a medium sized piece of Malaysian driftwood in there
