I guess this turned into the "redraw that panel" meme type thing, but I've always been curious on how some cgi movies would've looked if they were made to be 2D ones instead. One that I'd reaaally like to see if for Bug's Life cause some shots are so preeetty but like man what if it was a 2D painted background hand drawn traditional deal MMMmmman! Too bad all I can produce is just "Sky style redraw of this screenshot type deal" heheh
If I was a better artist what I'd really like to see reanimated in 2D medium is the rain chase scene OuO
Also here's the original I referenced:

(Also, real talk guys: Why is Flik's original pose so BORING in this shot? That's such a story telling no-no c'mon Pixar never have the character just standing there)

very beautiful. I love the florencent green going around in the background from the muschroom and the lighting and how well it mixes in with the purple and blue coloring of the Bug's Life ants.
As much as CGI had gotten somewhat better since "Reboot" and "Toy Story", and that I may like the "Kung Fu Panda" movies, I tend to perfer paper and pencil based hand drawn animation over even the best CGI animations, especallly the classic Disney/Bluth style of animation. It's due to havd drawing cartoons features like softer looking, more lifelike images, and more lively and more bouncy moviements and deeper, more artsy sense of coloring and outlines. I do hope that one day the medium would be restored to production sometime soon.
