"Dude, PET ME. You know you wanna. Why are you outside? Get in here!"
His ears are back. Smiling face. Telling me he's in an awesome mood, and we can hang out.

Don't feel bad about having a dog. I find that dogs and wolves take up separate parts of my heart. Wolves are independent, aloof, calculating, emotional, and do not have the "Do not harm humans" instinct we have drummed into dogs, but when one chooses to accept you as a brother, it is amazing. But, the undying, unconditional, empathic, sweet, kind, selfless, wonderful love a dog has for his master is almost as beautiful.
yep when they learn what humans can do for them they really like to hang out with their people. Having been around a few that were lap or cuddle wolves if you were with them.
Wolves can be picky about who they interact with, you also have to remember they are in fact wild and they have been socialized so they will interact with humans.

I had to remind myself all the time working or being around the adults that they were wild and THEY let me be in THEIR space. I was never nipped or bitten by the adults... The pups on the other hand were always mouthy and trying to chew on you till they got the idea that was not a good thing to do to the human.
A few times I had fallen asleep in their run and woke to having them cuddled to me or with in easy reach. The pups were the ones that liked to cuddle to my chest and many times tuck their head under mine.
Scott and Patty both said they had some of the most kicked back wolves they had been around.
