Vanilla (The one not grinning a sharp set of teeth) and Hazel, respectively. A duo of creatures occupying one body with Vanilla being the dominant figure. A psychokinetic creature that hovers off the ground and is typically rather harmless, Vanilla that is. Hazel is not so harmless, he is rather mischievious and manipulative. Fortunately Vanilla is able to keep her tricky co-host under control most of the time.
Despite being two creatures they share one body, as said. This makes for a rather team oriented effort towards anything they might do or think about, although Hazel would much prefer it if Vanilla simply let him take care of EVERYTHING. As a result, and mostly to spite him, she tends not to listen to him at all and relies on him more as a partner in danger and takes up more of the tasks requiring thought. That is not to say he doesn't get in the way when he finds the chance to. One would think they're rather argumentative, but their quarrels are typically small in severity, almost always working out without much effort.
Haven't quite named the race yet, the lighter colored spots along the tips of the ridges on her head along with the ring and spot around her mouth, on her hands, and her feet all glow lightly when she is using her abilities. The wing-like appendages on her back are actually not wings at all, they act more like arms which she can use to wrap around things leaving her paws free. She does have some control over Hazel's movement except for the head.
Hazel, while not in control of almost all of the body, has very unique features of his own. His eyes sense heat and are more sensitive to light allowing him to see much better in the dark where Vanilla cannot. His teeth are not merely for show as they are incredibly sharp and strong, he actually finds strange enjoyment out of chewing on bits of metal if not just to bother someone else. His tongue is both highly flexible and elastic, not to mention long, allowing him more reach than one might expect. Together, they make a very good mixture of smart and tough in a rather oddly mixed package.
