I got the opportunity to meet Sammy Hagar on September 28th, 2013. When I went up to him, I said, "Hey Mr. Hagar, I'm Alex. I really need to thank you, because if it weren't for the music of Van Halen, especially when you were in the band, I would never have started playing guitar, and that's what kept me from suicide. So thanks for saving my life." He was amazed and happy to hear this. He said to me "Man, If I knew about that, I'd have brought Michael Anthony with me. Stay happy, and stay alive man."
