That is one awesome octopus, don't go downing yourself. You have a real talent in traditional work. You should work more on it and build up your traditional skills. I really like the subject matter of the piece, too. With the octopus trying to do everything electronically all at once. =D I wonder what it's photo would look like.

but your situation reminds me of the contest i took part myself - art that won was just traced orginal art, but traditionally
but jury was like 'well he did draw this with his own hands'

ugh i hate it when constest just...don't have standarts or know how to evaluatte drawings?!?!? I mean I wouldn't be mad if they had picked one of the good submissions, but dfkxgjhjsf a obvs traced one? and it was horrible e __ e. My boyfriend lost once in a constest because the winner was the judge's nephew, and my boyfriend had the best submissions, everyone was really mad even the people who didn't knew my boyfriend \:

I'm afraid of entering contests because of stuff like this.
