I like exaggerating terrible features on human beings. I like exposing the parts of us that make us feel awkward and vulnerable, and blowing them out of proportion. I even add inhuman horrific parts to add to the awkward flesh. But I want to take these exaggerated figures and make them confident. I want to make the figures act and present themselves as normal despite their abnormalities.
In a sense when I made this painting, I tried to make the girl more human than our own human beings.
