Wolkai the Warrior Shaman and Toukai the Savage Mage.

Both are Knowledge Seekers of the Prismus Race tasked with collecting knowledge of their chosen affinity, Wolkai being Spirit and Toukai being Magic, as such they were both prevented from knowing their real parents and abandoned as pups in the Forest Region. Wolkai being a rather cautious puppy stayed in the basket while Toukai being more outgoing and adventurous left, because of this they got separated and found by different people, Wolkai being adopted by the Fairyguard Tribe and Toukai being found by a solitary Witch.

Growing up Toukai's mom was killed and he used his powers to slaughter the village associated with his mom's death. He is rather misanthropic but is looking for his brother because his mom's last wish was to find someone new to bond with, Wolkai on the other hand was trained as a Warrior and a Shaman after his tribe discovered his mystical powers, especially his healing abilities that saved a young girl's life. They believed the Fairies they protect lead Wolkai there and treat him with respect. Wolkai never had any real bad experiences.

When they met Wolkai was instantly scared of his brother, being able to sense Spirits and sensing alot of Black energy around Toukai. Toukai tried being friendly but when his viewpoints and methods were challenged by Wolkai he flew into rage and cursed Wolkai's eyes to try and make him see how horrible the world really is. Wolkai was able to neutralize the curse, but his eyes stayed black.

Wolkai always surrounded by White energy seeks nothing more than to make everyone happy, he follows his heart and always does the best he can.

Toukai always surrounded by Black Energy wants to face his real family and make them answer for abandoning him, he also desperately wants Wolkai to understand his point of view. He follows his mind and does not let himself be swayed by emotions much anymore.

Neither of them really understand just how much they need each other to help accomplish their goals, but that's life for ya, opposites attract but that doesn't mean they are always compatible.
