With four more weeks still to go before Chapter 7 of UTC hits the internet, I thought I'd give you a taste of what to expect.
This is a page of sketches I did months ago before after drawing the first couple pages of UTC Chapter 7. You might have noticed that between Chapters 4, 5, and 6, Cass' muzzle grew out, and slowly back in again. For years I've been trying to find a visual style that looks "fun", "attractive", and also "goatlike". The circled face is the one I liked. In Chapter 7 we'll be test driving this new face and see how things go.
I still have to go back to page 2 and digitally alter the drawings of Cass I inked before these sketches were done. I wonder if that will make the actual lineart page with the old face valuable to collectors twenty years from now? :P

Well, the first time I tried a redesign of Cass I had to invent a story reason for it because it's established that her genes are locked in. There aren't SUPPOSED to be any changes to her physical appearance beyond chapter 3. So sadly I can't use that excuse for her at this point in the story. Noah, though, I'm trying to redesign every time I draw him on a page, and that thankfully can be handwaved because he's still changing.
