This is Jackelyn Boudreaux, Jackie to her friends, a jaded, sometimes fatalistic, but usually quite romantic arachnid from the Louisiana bayou. Her passion runs hot and her wit very sharp. She is a good person, at heart, but has many social ethical burdens to fight with. Caught between the occult and natural worlds yet belonging in nether, she struggles to find balance within while seeking her place in a complex society that often fears what it doesn't understand.
Yet even a monster can have morality... Choosing to fulfill a dark and undeniable hunger from only those who have earned death, or, when unavoidable, feeding lightly, so as not to kill an innocent. Even a monster can be decent, if taken on their own terms. But saying all this still gives only a poor idea of what sort of person Jackelyn is. Why not buy her a drink and listen to her stories. They're good ones.
