I have this old small sketchbook that I used to draw my characters so I could remember what they look like. well, seeing as my art has gotten way better and I want to give or given a few of my chars a makeover I decided to use another small sketchbook I have for this. I'm still giving Valen a makeover and so I drew Dark. I took the curly hair from his human form and added it, I tried drawing him with different bangs but I love those bangs more. I wanted to give him new clothes and give him some color instead of making it black like his previous clothes. I wanted to have white on his clothes to represent his innocence and believe me, he may not be a virgin but he is quite innocent to a lot of things including what Decay says around him.

the purples and blues were picked by this color wheel scheme from the adobe kuler. it's really useful, it gives you five colors of your choosing and there are 7 themes you can choose: analogous, monochromatic, triad, complementary, compound, shades, and custom. I went with analogous and a little of complementary which gave me the yellow and used shades to shade each color.

I still wanted Dark to be feminine which I succeed since my brother mistook him for a girl. He is suppose to have two gems in the shape of crescent moons on his shirt, the white one is so small it's a bit hard to see it. My brother told me the blue clashed with the colors of his wings and suggested using lighter colors for the top part of his clothes and dark colors for the bottom part of his clothes or something like that. I personally like how it looks, but if someone agrees with my brother I may change the colors then.
