Ah, probably around the Shiprock area. I drove through there on my way out of the state 3 years ago. Very gorgeous rock formations in that area. If you're interested in doing deeper studies of these, it would be well worth the trip to see them in person. But be aware that there's virtually nothing out there. lol
Aw, bummer! Well, if you ever do manage to make it over to the states at some point, tour lots of places here. Northern New Mexico is really pretty, especially around Shiprock as it starts leading into the Rocky Mountains. Then there's a similar formation out near Tuscon, Arizona, called Picacho Peak. And I tell ya, the desert in Arizona is much more pleasing to the eye than it is in New Mexico. After that, the sights you want to see are going to mainly be in the more northern states. Oregon and Washington are simply beautiful landscapes to view. Lots of forests in both places, though I hear eastern Washington is more arid than western Washington. I hear it's still beautiful in its own right, though. I just haven't made it out that way yet. lol Imagine. I've been living in Washington for almost 4 years now and I still haven't seen the other half of the state. lol
