Fastpaw's original plan was to keep his (mostly former) predatory habits from his girlfriend-then-wife Heather, but these things tend to come out eventually. Luckily, there was one thing they agreed upon: most kender they met served the world better as a bulge in a praka's midsection than they did wandering around annoying people. Kender have the extremely useful attribute, as far as Fastpaw is concerned, of being entirely fearless. A more savvy or easily frightened person would probably not stick his head in a salivating maw like this, and this kender won't have much of a chance to learn from his mistake.
