This is true. A question rolls around in my head. Why dosne't some make a few reproductions from sctarch from plans and the orginal survivers like they did with that project 262 out in WA?

Probably because it's easier, safer and cheaper to modify T-6 Texans. If it's a static museum piece that will never fly, a scratch-built, historically-accurate reproduction makes the most sense, but once you put someone in the cockpit, the rules change. The Me 262 Project (which I hadn't heard about until you mentioned it :) had the benefit of private funding and over a decade of research. I'm sure that, with the right resources, the same could be done for the Zero. For all we know, someone may already be working on it.

One can only hope.
