Quick sketch that I decided to add a splash of color to.
I recently posted a poll to DeviantArt on which of my side characters you'd like to see me draw by choosing a profession that seemed the most appealing. While I thought for sure I'd be drawing Evanna and Athest, my two bounty hunters... the two that topped the list were Beastmaster and Alien Archaeologist. So since I'm a girl of her word, here's a little bit about Tara, one of my beastmasters.
My other beastmasters being Liah (duh) and a Spaceborn runt named Damiat (whom I will reveal later).
Tara grew up along with Liah and Damiat in their order and the three were nearly inseparable. Tara's primary beast on the battlefield is Abbadax, a Bhu-Kelak. I'll try to work up a character sheet for her soon, since I want to do a slightly different refsheet for my beastmasters to show some of the animals that they use in combat. She'll be a guinea pig for this specific character sheet before I jump into redoing Liah's sheet.

The tendrils are primarily sensory organs that can detect pheremones in other creatures. They do have a simple muscle structure to them, so they can move independently and can hold and manipulate objects... sort of like an elephant's trunk only clumsier.
The texture... isn't really slimy or wet. But they are very smooth. The best thing that I can think of to compare it to would be a very thin latex.
