Lyra were originally partially domesticated as disposable hunting companions, very much like how hog hunting dogs are viewed.

But lellians, right? Mostly they're neurotically timid little critters when they aren't being ordered around, but around ten percent of them are born with such a drastically different personality that they hardly even seem to belong to the same species.
Of that ten percent of aggressive lellians, maybe a quarter of them make it past twenty.

I'm not entirely convinced this individual is going to be one of them.
