this is about a weeks worth of screwing around in Zbrush after I made a concept from pimpmygun. rather than being 100% tacti-cool random shapes I diverted from the reference postage stamp the app/game spits out and noddles around for a while. its pretty much done past cleaning up some mushy corners and the obligatory decimation so I can do a clean retopo without crashing my system. seemingly for no particular reason the combined load of every subtool on this beast is about 20M verts.
I'm sure I'm using dynamesh incorrectly but I'll save securing that skill in another project. this one is all but done and I'm glad it doesn't look like complete ass.

I wouldn't exactly say obsessed, I spent maybe 2-4 hours on it a day. its going to be a prop for another character I've posted and once I get the low (more manageable) poly whipped up I'll pose him up and reboot my portfolio with something that's less than 10 years old...
Looks very cool :) i started my studies now so i spent the week getting used to maya and to create a stalker pattern Bolter from the warhammer 40k universe ^^ Cuz guns are fun to make and its great practice. probably will post it on FA ^^ so ill send ya a link if yer interested
Hehe i do like working in zbrush as well, they both have pros and cons so i use them hand in hand. or blender if i feel like stepping away from maya xD
