Now just curious here. I am an artist and I would like to commission someday, I dont have any real experience with digital art though. I am planning on purchasing a Wacom tablet, but what program do you use and/or advice for someone who isnt familiar in doing digital art such as this?

Okay so I use firealpaca since I don't have sai and it's the closest thing I can get to sai..since I have a mac. I do all of my sketching and ink-work there as well as flat colors since it has a very nice crisp transition and whatnot. Then I use Photoshop to do the shading and make it look rad!

As far as tablet goes, I'd /suggest/ going with whatever newer intuos models that have but only if you want to use the little side wheels and such. If not, then just get a bamboo since those are very very easy to use. I personally like the intuos since it is larger and has a nice grippy feel to it...plus interchangeable pen nibs is great too~

Thanks for the advice. Im actually looking into getting an Intuos Pro (medium) and a Bamboo pen, unless the Intuos Pro comes with a variable tipped stylus.

Hmmm im not sure that intuos and bamboo work together, but i could be wrong!

Dont see why not, I mean its just a stylus. Besides it looks like the Intuos Pro comes with its own stylus with multiple fittings.

ehhh it's the tablet model. I know bamboo pens dont work with intuos tablets tho
