I love fishing, so I thought that taking a fly casting class this semester would be fun. IT WAS A LIE!!!!! This is one of the most stressful, worst classes I have ever taken in my life! I suck. I just absolutely suck at fly casting. For whatever reason, even though I'm doing exactly what the teacher told me the line still either falls in a bunch at my feet, or tangles horribly. Last time I hit myself in the face several times with the yarn we use a fly; if there really was a fly on that I would have lost my eyelids by now!

I dunno what to do. I suck at it so bad, and the evaluation where I have to stand in front of the teacher and the whole class to demonstrate every cast is on thursday and I'm so screwed. Maybe I'm just too short. The rod is 9 feet long and I'm only barely 5 feet, more like 4'11 and a half, just about everyone else in the class is a whole foot taller than me! I don't like it, I don't like it one bit.
