As evident to those who have seen my faves on deviantART, I've recently gotten into The Hub's new show, SheZow.
For those who don't know what it's about, it's an accidental superhero show. The main character Guy Hamdon, and his sister Kelly discover that their late Aunt Agnes was the famous superheroine SheZow, by discovering her magic ring, the source of her powers. But Guy, thinking it was a joke, puts on the ring, and proceeds to "play along" only to discover that it is in fact the real thing, and now that he's put it on, it can't be taken off. Also, due to the fact the ring was meant to be worn by a woman, he now has to wear a girl's costume while fighting crime.
So many people are up in arms about this show, but I don't see it as that big of a deal. So the show deals with cross-dressing. So what? So did Bugs Bunny (countless times, I might add, going WAY further than this show ever did as well) and HE never got any crap for it.
Bottom line is I'm willing to look past that and I see the show for what it is: a funny accidental superhero cartoon. That's all it's meant to be.

Yeah. I mean, some people are so insecure with themselves and lash out even at a boy who was bonding with his mother having his toe nails painted pink.
The people who freak the hell out over it are making themselves look like asses.
It's like they're so insecure about their own sexuality or masculinity, afraid of being perceived as gay. I wouldn't think it's anything to be ashamed of.
I happen to be transgender (Male to female) Lesbian myself and I love myself for who I am.
I think shows like this are a stepping stone to making kids feel better and nothing wrong with being feminine. Be what makes you happy. Some kids might grow up Trans or gay. It's important to us as a society to be more accepting and understanding of it. Kids are so scared to tell anyone about it in fear of getting disowned.
It's like guys take flak for liking MLP FIM which looks like a fun show to watch.
Even though I'm not a brony. But I enjoy the art work and stuff.
I'm so interested in watching Shezow as it looks good.
