The star shape on the petals of the Dark Flower is under scored by the cresent moon that glows during the winter, making fire flies come out during winter and live longer if they feast on the power of the glow. In Ryze's background (Amtgard) She would pick the flowers for the glow of the flower and the fireflies that surrounded it helping her see during the long nights in the winter.
